Usually vertical roller mill  bearing failure generally manifests itself:
Contact fatigue failure. The formation process and consequences are: pitting → pitting flaking → shallow flaking → deep flaking.
Wear failure. The formation process and the consequences are: wear → shape change → increase in fit clearance and change in working surface → lubricant contamination → loss of lubrication function → loss of bearing rotation accuracy.
Fracture failure. It is mainly affected by two factors: overload and defect. Overload fracture occurs when the load exceeds the strength limit. Defects such as micro-cracks, shrinkage pores, air bubbles, large foreign objects, overheated tissues and local burns of bearing parts can also cause fractures at the defects when impact overload or severe vibration.
Change in bearing clearance failed. The internal and external factors work together to cause a change in the fit clearance, which in turn reduces the bearing accuracy, resulting in a "biting" phenomenon. External factors mainly refer to excessive interference, insufficient installation, expansion caused by temperature rise, transient overload, etc .; the internal factors mainly include residual austenite and residual stress in an unstable state.
The reasons for the loss of tapered roller bearings may be bearing quality problems; bearing assembly problems; use problems or damaged seals and dust.
