Description of vertical coal mill:
Vertical Coal Mill is a progressive grinding machine, which integrated with drying, milling, grading and transporting. Vertical mill play an important role in the cement industry,and Vertical grinding mills have been widely accepted by the combined grinding and drying of the wet raw materials because of their excellent drying capacity and low energy consumption. Although a number of cement plants are still using ball mills, many have installed pre-grinders like roller press to improve the energy efficiency of energy use.
Features of vertical coal mill:
1. Force-Feed Lubrication System Force-feed lubrication system extends the service life of bearing by 2.5 times. During grinding operation, roller bearings easily get hot, which would negatively affect the ability of lubricating oil. Improper operation often leads to shortened use life. Thanks to the force-feed lubrication method, lubricating oil can be effectively cooled.
2. Maximum Particle Fineness Traditional roller mill either uses a static separator or dynamic separator to separate fine powder from coarse particles.Vertical coal mill brings together both types of separators for more efficient, adjustable material separation. After separation, the percentage of particles finer than 80μm can achieve as high as 97%, meeting the fineness requirements for most hard coal grinding applications.
3. 20-40% Electricity Savings Vertical coal mill uses 20% to 40% less electricity than a traditional air-swept ball mill for the same amount of grinding task.It brings even more savings when grinding coals that contain much moisture.
4. Great Drying Performance Air-swept milling method allows our mill to handle coals of up to 10% moisture content via varying its air flow rate and temperature. The large amount of air can meet high-content moisture drying requirements.
5. 80-85dB Noise Level (Grade A) Vertical coal mill is just 20-25dB quieter than ball mill. Dust removal blower generates negative pressure at the inlet and outlet of the grinder, ensuring minimum dust emissions.
6. Occupying less area Vertical coal mill only takes up 60% of space needed to accommodate an equivalent ball mill, while its specific surface area is only 50% to 60% of the ball mill. It incorporates crushing, grinding, drying, separation, and conveying features into one compact design.
Work Principle of vertical coal mill:
Firstly,the material is crushed by jaw crusher to the size required, then the crushed materials are elevated into a hopper from which the material is transported through the electro-magnetic vibrating feeder, evenly and continuously into the grinding chamber for powder-processing. The rollers oscillate outward to press the ring because of the centrifugal force and the shovel scoops up the materials, send to the middle between ring and roller to accomplish the grind. After this, the ground stuff are carried by the air from the blower into the separator for screening. The fine powers are blow into the cyclone collector and are poured out through the output-powder valve as the final products and the rough stuff after the screening will be recycled back into the grinding chamber for regrinding. The set’s airflow system is closely sealed up and circulated under condition of negative and positive pressure.
